Royal Court Investiture & Opening Ceremony Of Aloha Festival
Witness a treasured ceremony that dates back to the time of Hawai‘i’s ali‘i (royal class). The Royal Court Investiture & Opening Ceremony is the regal and fitting start to the month of Aloha Festivals. The afternoon begins with the Royal Court Investiture on the grounds of Helumoa at The Royal Hawaiian’s Ocean Lawn. The historic home of Princess Pauahi. There, the newly-appointed mō‘ī kāne (king), mō‘ī wahine (queen), kamāli‘i kāne (prince), kamāli‘i wahine (princess) and various court attendants will assume their role to perpetuate the royal legacy of Hawai‘i’s people throughout all Aloha Festivals events.
